Safety and Parking Options

A visitor’s decision to be present on campus and/or in University facilities serves as their acknowledgment and acceptance of the potential risks posed to them by COVID-19. Visitors and vendors are required to follow the University’s COVID-19 guidance applicable at the time of their visit.

Because of ongoing health risks, visitors are expected to adopt the risk mitigation measures as advised by public health officials and to their individual vulnerabilities as advised by a medical professional.

Please Note:

The COVID-19 pandemic has created substantial individual and community health risks that likely will remain for the foreseeable future. Even with extensive planning and focus on the community’s health and safety, the University of Chicago cannot eliminate these risks. Together we can try to reduce risk, but only if each of us commits to fostering a culture of shared responsibility for our individual and collective health and safety. The University thus expects every person who comes to a University facility, whether as an academic appointee, postdoctoral researcher, staff member, student, volunteer, contractor, or visitor, to adopt precautions designed to mitigate the risk of viral transmission.

The University encourages everyone to be vaccinated for COVID-19 at their earliest opportunity, including visitors and vendors to campus.

Visitors traveling to Illinois from elsewhere must fully comply with the City of Chicago Travel Advisory before coming to campus.

For more detailed information, please see the University of Chicago’s Visitor Guidelines.
